iGoLocal began after bad experiences with a roofing contractor here in Tucson, AZ. The paid-for work was not finished, the deposit was gone, and so was the contractor. The Arizona Registrar of Contractors showed a license and a short complaint record, but it did not show the other companies the same owners had run, the licenses that were canceled, or the court records sitting in the county. He seemed like a good guy, and I trusted him. I learned the hard way. "Trust but verify."

That information was public. It was just not connected in one place. iGoLocal was built to connect it, to put all the pieces together. So the consumer can see the full record in a simple and easy-to-read format before handing over a deposit.

We research Arizona contractor licenses, business filings, court records and liens, and connect what the state's own lookup does not. Every report is dated, and every source is named. We do not give opinions, ratings or recommendations. We report what the public records say on the date we checked them.
