What we check, and how disputes work
The same criteria apply to every contractor. They are published here so you can see exactly what a verification means.
A contractor is not verified if any of these is true on the date of the check
- The Arizona contractor license is not active
- The license classification does not cover the work the business advertises
- The required bond is not in place
- There is an open complaint that resulted in discipline
- A related company tied to the same owners has discipline that was not disclosed in the application
Monthly re-checks
Verified contractors are re-checked every month. If a license status changes, we review the record and may suspend the verification. Every profile shows the date it was last checked.
Disputes and corrections
If you believe something in a report or profile is wrong, send the details and any supporting records through the form below. We respond within 10 business days. If a record was wrong or has changed, we correct it and note the correction date.
What we do not include
We do not report the personal criminal history or credit of business owners. Reports cover the business and its public records.
